Looking for Japanese food in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne? By that I’m referring to the authentic Japanese food.
To the residents of Doncaster East, there is no need to travel to Box Hill, Glen Waverley or the City to enjoy Japanese food made by genuine Japanese chefs.
Miku is the newest Japanese restaurant in Doncaster East, located at 298 Blackburn Road, Doncaster East 3109 (Donburn Shopping strip). The ambience is brilliant. Not only that, the owner of the restaurant always greets you with a smile. So, whether you’ve had a bad day or not, you’ll always leave as one happy customer!
The lunch menu offers Bento Box with choices of Tempura prawns and other meats. There are also the usual rice dishes i.e. Katsu Don (Crumbled chicken) or Oyako Don (Chicken with egg). However, the best has to be the availability of the Sushi Burger (imagine the buns replaced by rice patties) – it is terrifically designed and tastes fantastic!
Average lunch costs around $15 to 20
For evening meals, the full menu becomes available (including the items mentioned for lunch). For instance, more variety on the Sushi Burger Platter; lots more Sushi and Sashimi Platter options.
I highly recommend the Nabeyaki, Soft Shell Crab rolls, and Sushi Burger Platter with Hamberg as choice.
Another great treat about this restaurant is that there are always daily specials, you will be informed once you’re seated.
For those that are not interested in dine in, there is always the option of Take Away.
